For my college project, I worked on the "Early Bird" branding project, which was an innovative and comprehensive exercise aimed at creating a distinctive identity for a new breakfast café named Early Bird. The café's concept focuses on providing fresh, healthy, and delicious breakfast options for early risers in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The primary goal was to develop a cohesive brand that reflected the café's values and appealed to its target audience.
The project started with extensive research and discovery. I conducted market research to understand the breakfast café industry and identify key competitors. I gathered insights into the target audience’s preferences, behaviors, and values, and analyzed trends in branding and design within the food and beverage sector. This research was crucial in defining the brand’s mission, vision, and core values.

Process

I defined the breakfast café’s mission, vision, and core values, developing a brand personality that embodies warmth, reliability, and approachability. The logo, featuring a stylized bird and a mug, and the brown color palette, were chosen to evoke comfort and familiarity. Marketing materials, including business cards, menus, packaging, and promotional items, were created to align with the brand’s visual identity. The video was designed to reflect the brand’s personality, and guidelines for a consistent, engaging, and friendly brand voice were established for all communication channels.

The project successfully established a strong and memorable brand identity for the breakfast café. By integrating a thoughtfully designed logo featuring a stylized bird and a mug with a warm brown color palette, and creating cohesive marketing materials, I effectively captured the café’s essence of warmth and reliability. The brand's consistent voice and visual identity resonate with the target audience, ensuring a positive and engaging customer experience. Overall, this branding effort has positioned the café favorably in the market, reflecting its unique character and mission.
